The Advanced Training Programme (ATP)
The ATP covers the context and approaches for planning and managing education, but also explores fields such as statistical tools for educational planning, the educational planning cycle, strategies and policy options, projects, budgets, and monitoring and evaluating educational quality and access. Delivered in Paris from October to June, the programme comprises four components: In-country preparatory work in September, a common core, specialization courses and a memoir. It also includes two study visits, as well as a series of special seminars.
Participants who succesfully complete all four components of the ATP are eligible for either the International Diploma in Educational Planning and Management or an International Master in Educational Planning and Management.

Specialized Courses Programme (SCP)
This programme is designed for education specialists from ministries of education, NGOs and donor agencies who wish to take short-term, specialized courses. Participants select one or several of the Advanced Training Programme specialization courses offered in the spring. Each course lasts two weeks, on a full-time basis. Credits obtained for these courses can be accumulated towards the IIEP master degree.
