About the Virtual Campus

The IIEP Virtual Campus offers training through the use of information and communication technologies. Created in 1994, it was developed to contribute to the capacity building of Ministries of Education and institutions of Member States by offering distance education on topics related to educational planning.

The Virtual Campus offers distance courses and discussion forums. Since its creation, 45 courses and forums have been organized for more than 100 member states in the world.

Why e-learning?

E-learning presents several advantages. The distance education modality is flexible and allows participants to manage their own study schedule. E-learning is also interactive: participants from the same institution and from different countries meet with each other and build professional networks without leaving their workplace and daily duties. Being in their institutional setting allows participants  to directly apply the skills and competencies acquired during the course, and easily access their national working documentation and references.
