From financing early childhood education, teacher management and leadership, to the role of cities in achieving the global goals, IIEP has a comprehensive line-up for the 2021 virtual Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) annual conference. This year’s event, from 25 April to 2 May, will cover the theme ‘Social Responsibility within Changing Contexts’.
For the 65th edition of CIES, participants will look closely at how educationalists work – with the involvement of new actors – and in a changing environment with sometimes competing visions for the future.
“As we enter the third decade of the 21st century, we see rapid changes in political, economic, environmental, cultural, and social spaces. Along with these changes is an increasing variety of actors, including non-state actors who are now more involved. These changes influence education globally and locally.” The 65th CIES conference.
IIEP representatives will be participating in a number of panels and sessions (on Zoom), featured below and in the CIES programme.
