IIEP is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement of cooperation with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI). It took place in the presence of Suzanne Grant Lewis, the Director of IIEP, and Paulo Speller, the Secretary General of OEI, who visited IIEP on 2 November 2017.

IIEP looks forward to pursing joint efforts aimed at implementing the Education 2030 agenda. Under the agreement, IIEP and OEI will work together to:

  • Exchange information in Ibero-American states and coordinate capacity building programmes,
  • Develop joint initiatives aimed at achieving collective goals in education, particularly as it relates to educational planning,
  • Collaboratively strengthen the capacities of ministries of education.

These objectives will be realized through the promotion of regional and national workshops aimed at implementing the Education 2030 agenda, strengthening partnerships and networks between educational institutions and stakeholders in Ibero-American states, collaboration in research and technical assistance, and the sharing of knowledge and dissemination through virtual platforms.
