Join e-Forum 'Hangouts' on learning assessments with global experts

18 November 2015

A growing number of children have enrolled in school since the Millennium Development Goals and Education for All Goals were adopted in 2000 – but are students learning basic skills in literacy and numeracy?

Over the past 15 years, tremendous efforts have been made to include more children in school. Yet, some 250 million children worldwide are not learning the basic skills in reading and mathematics, representing a third of all children worldwide. The fact that 130 million of these children attended school for at least four years raises further questions about education quality.

It’s in this context that a range of different types of learning assessments have garnered increased attention. It’s also the topic of the IIEP Learning Portal’s first e-Forum, 'Inclusive and equitable quality education for all: Towards a global framework for measuring Learning?

Ongoing until 26 November 2015, the e-Forum is still open for registration (more information here).

During this time, e-Forum participants are invited to hear from a range of guests on specific issues related to learning assessments during special Hangout sessions.

Following the presentations, the audience will be invited to ask the guest questions through the Hangouts chat. Presentations will be available on YouTube after the live chat.
