Decentralized education planning in Myanmar

A five-day training course piloted by UNESCO and the Ministry of Education

Education Officers from all 18 States and Regions in Myanmar, Union-level department representatives, and members of the Comprehensive Education Sector Review (CESR) team gathered for a five-day training course on “Education Planning in the Context of Decentralized Public Sector Management” at the Royal Kumudra Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw from 03 -07 February 2014.

Organized by the UNESCO Yangon Project Office, UNESCO International Institute of Educational Planning (IIEP), and the Ministry of Education, the course introduced participants to the fundamentals of decentralized education sector management and the implications for planning.
