Luc GACOUGNOLLE joined IIEP-UNESCO-Dakar in July 2020 as Deputy Head of Office. He supervises and supports the training and research and development activities of the Dakar office, as well as activities related to the Gender at the Centre Initiative (GCI).
Prior to joining IIEP, Luc worked for a range of international education organizations, such as UNESCO Institute for Statistics, GPE, the World Bank, UN Refugee Agency, and UNICEF. He specialized in education sector analysis, policy and planning, management support and monitoring and evaluation at central, decentralized, and school levels, as well as capacity building in these areas.
Luc holds a Master's degree in Statistics and Economics from the École Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique in Paris.
