Monitoring and evaluation, capacity assessment, education sector analysis, education sector planning

Ms. Anna Haas is a Programme Specialist in IIEP’s Technical Cooperation team. Anna’s main area of work is monitoring and evaluation of education sector programmes.

In collaboration with ministries of education and researchers, Anna conducts capacity assessments and develops capacity development plans that aim at strengthening the ability of public administrations to plan and manage the education sector. She also teaches and supports online training programmes in educational planning and management.

Prior to IIEP, Anna worked as a consultant for Oxford Policy Management where she led and conducted evaluations and studies for the Department for International Development (DFID), the European Commission, Norad, UNICEF, UNESCO, the Global Partnership for Education and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Between 2006 and 2010 she worked as a research officer at the Education for All Global Monitoring Report at UNESCO. She has also worked for seven years at Sida, where she was in charge of Swedish education development cooperation with a number of countries in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as with UNICEF.

Education

•    Bachelor’s in Economics from Lund University
•    Masters of Art in International and Comparative Education from the Institute of International Education at Stockholm University.
