IIEP-UNESCO is excited to be part of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, March 5-9, 2017. Bringing together some 2,500 education professionals and academics for more than 500 sessions, the CIES Annual Meeting is a gathering of Society members and the interested public for an academic research conference devoted to scholarly and practical exchange, as well as debate and networking. This year’s special focus is:
‘Problematizing (In)Equality: The Promise of Comparative and International Education’.

IIEP panels at CIES 2017
With seven IIEP experts from our three offices (Paris, Dakar, and Buenos Aires) attending CIES 2017, we’re organizing and participating in a number of panels. Covering a range of issues, the panels will bring new insight, research, and perspectives on how the global education community can plan for stronger education systems that are aligned with the new Education 2030 agenda. This year, IIEP’s contributions will have a strong focus on crisis-sensitive planning, but will also cover a range of other issues including equity in education, open data and transparency, teacher careers, and learning outcomes.
Make sure to also visit IIEP at Stand 39, where you can find publications and information, and ask questions.
