
Jihane Lamouri is a member of the Gender at the Centre Initiative of the IIEP technical team.
Jihane Lamouri is a specialist in gender and inclusion issues in education. She defines herself as an educator dedicated to equitable opportunities for all students.
Prior to joining IIEP, Jihane led integration and promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within IVADO (Institute for Data Valorization), one of Canada’s largest research consortiums on artificial intelligence. She began her career in educational planning within the Quebec Ministry of International Relations, where she worked on the internationalization of higher education policies. Jihane has nearly 10 years of experience in managing and mainstreaming gender and inclusion in educational and research projects in Canada (Université Laval, Université de Montréal, Quebec Inter-university Network for Diversity, Equity and inclusion) and in Africa, mainly in Senegal (African Institute for Mathematical Science).
Jihane holds a Master’s degree in International Development from Laval University (Canada) and a Certificate in Student Support and Academic Affairs from George Brown College (Canada).
