Pauline Rose

Pauline Rose is Professor of International Education at the University of Cambridge, which she joined in 2014. She is Director of the Research for Equitable Access and Learning (REAL) Centre in the Faculty of Education. She was also Senior Research Fellow at the UK Department for International Development from 2015 to 2018. Prior to joining Cambridge, Pauline was Director of UNESCO’s Education for All Global Monitoring Report (from August 2011), during which time she directed two reports, on youth, skills and work, and on teaching and learning.

Pauline has authored numerous publications on educational policy and practice, with a focus on addressing barriers related to gender and inequality working with large collaborative research teams in sub‐Saharan Africa and South Asia. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with international aid donors and non-governmental organizations, providing evidence-based policy advice on a wide range of issues, aimed at fulfilling commitments to education for all.
