About the publication

While most education polices tend to be very broad and focus on issues related to access and quality, we still need to consider what specific policies can contribute towards an education system that promotes safety, resilience and social cohesion. How can ministries of education ensure that education systems are safe and protective of learners, education personnel and assets? How can education systems be made more resilient and provide continuous education despite challenges or crises that may occur? What mechanisms need to be in place for education systems to promote resilience and social cohesion through equitable access to relevant quality education?
