MOUSSA HAMANI OUNTENI

Mr Moussa HAMANI OUNTENI is an expert in planning and institutional analysis at IIEP-UNESCO Dakar since October 2020. He is involved in the Education Quality Management Support Programme, which operates in 8 sub-Saharan African countries (Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Madagascar, Niger, Senegal and Togo).

Before joining IIEP, he worked at the Consortium for Economic and Social Research at the University of Dakar, where he contributed to the annual evaluations of Senegal's Ten-Year Education and Training Programme, as well as to research activities on education and poverty. He then worked for nine years at PASEC, where his experience focused on evaluating the quality of education systems in several African and South-East Asian countries. He also worked as the head of monitoring and evaluation for Mali's largest education project on improving the quality of education, in particular by helping to build the capacity of central and local education structures.

Moussa is a statistical engineer from the Graduate School of Applied Economics (ESEA), formerly ENEA in Dakar, and holds a Master's degree in management and evaluation of education systems from the University of Burgundy.
